Trust In The Lord With All Your Heart
It’s simple. It’s short. Yet it’s incredibly powerful. Proverbs 3:5-6 is one of the most familiar passages in the Bible–with good reason. It sets forth a life-changing truth that is worthy of our attention.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
‘ HAPPY FALL TO YOU’
From one pumpkin to another!!!!!!!!!
A woman was asked by a coworker, “What is it like to be a Christian?”
The coworker replied, ‘It is like being a pumpkin.’ God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff.
He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all. Author unknown
And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me; for I preceive that virtue is gone out of me. Luke 8:46 KJV
In the crowd that day there was a woman who for twelve years had been afflicted with hemorrhages. She had spent every penny she had on doctor but not one had been able to help her. She slipped in from behind and touched the edge of Jesus robe. At that very moment her hemorrhaging stopped, Jesus said, “Who touched me?” The Message
If we will only touch Jesus through his word, we will be made whole. The very power from Jesus will enter our body and we will be made whole, that very moment. No matter who else is seeking Him, He can here and touch all of us in the time of our need.
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. Isaiah 40:28 KJV
Possums are known for their ability to play dead. When this happens, the possum’s body wilts, its tongue flops out, and its heart rate declines. After about 15 minutes, the animal revives. Interestingly, animal experts do not believe that possums purposefully play dead to evade predators. They faint involuntarily when they become overwhelmed and anxious.
We maybe in a place of weakness and despair because of our rebellion or because of difficulties of life. Although anxiety can steal our strength, God can renew it as we lean on Him. He neither faints nor is weary, and He is willing to reach down and revive us when we can’t take another step.
Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multipied. Jude – 2 KJV
Yesterday was peace and joy in the midst of stress, pain and tiredness. God was in control of everything concerning me. Oh, how good God is to me!
Today I give Him all the praise and glory as I sit in His presence and I feast upon His Word. I have confidence that He will prepare me for my next journey and that brings peace to my heart.
I have found that healing starts when you accept your illness and when you find a way to be thankful for it. When you realize that God is at the main control and that He is able to give you peace about it. It takes a deep desire to have His perfect peace and His will to be done. That must come first. Remove yourself from the controls and let the Lord take it over. It may be that you will “take up your bed and walk” or it may be that you accept the way your life is and allow Him to be at the controls entirely.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. I Peter 5:6 KJV
So be content with who you are, and don’t put on airs. God’s strong hand is on you; he’ll promote you at the right time. I Peter 5:6 The Message
School started today in our community. I though about this verse when I saw all the small children going to school. They will be promoted to another grade next year, if they follow the teachers instructions. As people of God, we will be promoted if we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of the teacher (God).
Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing : nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. Luke 5:4-5 KJV
Can you imagine what our life would be like if we answered God with, nevertheless at thy word I will launch out? We would be less stress, have more peace if only we would answer with nevertheless.
Father God, give us the strength to said nevertheless to where ever your word lead us. Amen
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended; but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3: 13-14
Kangaroos and emus, have something in common – they seldom move backward, Kangaroos, because of the shape of their body and the length of their strong tail, can bounce along with forward movement, bur they cannot shift easily in reverse. Emus can run fast on their strong legs, but the joints in their knees seem to make backward movement difficult.
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended; but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, (14) I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14 KJV
We all have a past, and that is what it should be in the past. We can not dewell on the past nor can we live in the past. We must reach for the prize in every aspect of our life. Have you ever participated in a race? I have not, but I do have a son that is a runner. He always strive to be the winner. This is what we should be about, our fathers business, running toward the prize of the calling of God, not looking back.
